| :: West 15th and Peninsula
August 24th - During the 9pm hour, units were dispatched to West 15th and Peninsula for a vehicle
accident with entrapment. L-9 arrived on location and reported 1 vehicle wrapped around a pole with 2 patients heavy entrapment. Rescue 1, Rescue 5, Truck
7, MP8, MP28, and an Emergency Ambulance all responded. Rescue 1 arrived on location and immediately went into rescue operations. Both tools were pulled
off of R1 to free the patients. While crews were freeing the passengar, a fire broke out in the trunk of the vehicle. Other crews pulled an attack link
off of R1 and had the fire extinguished within minutes. After the passengar was freed, the vehicle had to be pulled away from the pole to crews could free
the driver. The driver was freed after about 45 minutes of being entrapped. Both patients were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Millcreek
Township Police are investigating the wreck.
