May 29 - Around 1930 hours, Cumberland County Co. 21 (Creekside) along with Co 16 (West Fairview), 17 (Midway), 18 (Citizens), 19 (West Enola), 20 (Summerdale)were dispatched to a reported garage fire at 1 Abbey Lane. First due companies found a fully involved two car garage with fire extending to the attached two-story house. Handlines and aerial streams knocked down the bulk of the fire. A second alarm was requested. This brought in Co. 13 (West Shore), 14 (Camp Hill), 12 (Lower Allen) and 10 (New Cumberland). Companies 33 (New Kingstown), 30 (Hampden), 28 (Washies), Dauphin 32 (Progress), 38 (Middle Paxton), York 68 (Fairview) and Perry 6 (Marysville) were dispatched to cover empty stations.
