April 6-
Shortly before 1700 hours Dauphin County units were dispatched to Company 37
(Rescue) first in district for a reported working garage fire at 1308 Paxton
Church Rd. A command officer from Company 37 arrived with smoke showing. The
fire quickly intensified before consuming the 20x40 metal type structure as crews
experienced water problems. A fill site was established at two locations and
Command 37 requested additional tankers. Once a water source was established
crews were able to knock down what fire was remaining. The fire gave off heavy
black smoke that visible for miles around.
