Fatal Fire
March
15 - At 0210 hours Carlisle units were
dispatched to 35 N. Hanover Street in the downtown
area for an apartment building fire. Headquarters
advised of multiple calls and entrapment. Crews
from Engine 40,1-41,2-41, 42, Truck 43, and
Rescue 40 arrived to a working fire in a 3 story
brick apartments over store type building. Truck
39 (N. Middleton) was speciall called shortly
followed by the second alarm. A rescue was made
by Truck 43 crews as they pulled two occupants
to safety. Numerous lines were stretched to
contain the blaze and extensive overhaul performed.
One occupant was found deceased in the apartment.
