02/03/2005 - South Harrisburg Bedroom Fire

:: Hall Manor

Bedroom Fire in South Harrisburg

February 3 - While companies were still operating at a one-alarm kitchen fire in Task Force 2's district, County Comm Center dispatched Task Force 1 units to the 22 Row of Hall Manor for a bedroom fire. Tower 3, Wagon 3 along with Squad 8 and Tower 2 from the N. 16th Street fire responded on first alarm. EMS advised of a fully involved second floor. Tower 3 arrived and Lt. 6 reported a working fire. He advised the Squad to stretch a 200 foot hand line. Heavy fire was venting from the top floor of a 2 story brick, occupied public housing dwelling. Companies made a good knock while other members did a primary search and checked for extension. Units cleared the scene by 2330 hours.
