01/28/2005 - Harrisburg Structure Fire

:: 634 Boyd Street

Civilians Rescue Occupant in City Fire

January 28- At 0830 hours, Task Force 3 units (Wagon 3, Tower 2, Squad 8, Tower 1) under the command of Chief 6 (Berger) responded to 634 Boyd Street for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Companies arrived on location of a 3 story brick, middle of the row dwelling with heavy smoke showing from the second floor. Members quickly called for EMS as two civilians pulled a disabled occupant to safety. A platoon members made quick work of the bedroom fire. The patient was flown by Life Lion to Lehigh Valley Burn Center with severe burns. Wagon 4 and Tower 3 set up the landing zone on City Island.
