04/02/2006 - Penn Hills - Bedroom Fire

Abers Road

A beautiful Sunday afternoon turned into an evening nightmare for a middle aged couple as firefighters from Penn Hills 221, 225, and 227 were called to a bedroom on fire at approximately 9:30 pm along Abers Rd in the Lincoln Park section of Penn Hills. The fire which was contained mostly to a front bedroom was extremely intense and took almost 20 minutes of heavy fire stream action to finally get it out. 1 firefighter at the scene suffered an asthma attack and was treated at the scene by Penn Hills emergency medics. Penn Hills Fire Marshal Jack Mason is investigating.
