Route 65

A woman was injured when she rear end collided with a motorist who was attempting to make a left turn into North Avenue off of PA Route 65 Ohio River Boulevard in Emsworth PA.

Accidents along this stretch of 65 are almost daily and often times severe, sometimes even deadly, because motorists are speeding or are not paying attention or sometimes both. They also run through red lights and cause an accident or run into a motiorist who has stopped for a red light or is turning. The roadway is heavily patrolled by Kilbuck, Ohio Twp, Bellevue and Avalon Police and the speed limit is only 45, but is often disregarded by motorists in a hurry. Emsworth VFD Station 148 along with North West EMS and Ohio Twp. and Kilbuck Police all responded.
