09/17/2005 - Penn Hills - Residential Structure Fire

:: Schley Street

You couldn't ask for worse conditions fighting a fire on steep hillside, dead-end windy very narrow streets, and a house right next door.

But this is exactly what firefighters responded to along Schley St in Penn Hills PA off of Runnette St and Mt Carmel Rd in the Lincoln Park section of Penn Hills.

A fire broke out in a couple's home who managed to escape unharmed but have lost everything. Firefighters despite all odds did a terrifc job saving the home next door they owned from also catching fire. Stations 221, 222, 225,and 227, responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and results have not been released.
