09/14/2005 - Penn Hills - Apartment Fire

Lincoln Road

Talk about good luck and Murphy's Law striking at once. That is what happend at 8:15 am on 9.14 in an apartment building along Lincoln Rd in Penn Hills. A cable TV guy spotted smoke coming from an apartment building at the corner of Vine Street and Lincoln Rd. He quickly called 911 for help stopped and took his ladder off his truck to help rescue a trapped woman tennant on the 2nd floor.

Everyone escaped unharmed with one tennant having to be arrested and detained to keep him from going back into the burning building. Damage was mainly to the 1st floor apartment where the fire started with smoke damage to the rest the cause of the fire is undeterminned so far.
