Motor Vehicle Accident
Lincoln Boulevard
Crews were dispatched for a vehicle overturned on Lincoln
Boulevard in the late afternoon hours. Crews arrived to find a vehicle on its
roof. The driver fled and was apprehended by police. The driver hit a set of
concrete steps which causes the car to flip and cross over the center line. The
driver eventually was transported to a local Pittsburgh hospital via medical
helicopter. Liberty Rescue 183 and Chief 183 arrived on scene first and established
command. Lincoln Engine 184 arrived on scene and requested Engine 183-1 to block
the roadway at Bellbridge. Clairton Rescue 123 was held in station on standby.
Blaine Hill Station 142 was dispatched to assist with traffic at Lovedale. The
patient was flown out of Wylie ballfield in Elizabeth Borough (Sta 139), and
they handled the landing zone duties. Lincoln Ambulance 610 and Elizabeth EMS
provided patient care. Police from Lincoln were assisted by Elizabeth Borough
and Elizabeth Twp Police Departments. All units cleared after the car was on
the tow and the roadway was clean.
