08/16/2005 - Liberty Boro - Commercial Structure Fire

Youghigheny River Road

Units were dispatched for a confirmed commercial structure fire at Durabond Coating. Initial units made forcible entry and made a nice, quick knockdown. Apparently a piece of machinery overheated, causing the fire. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate. Chief 183 had command, and units responded from 183-Liberty, 237-Vigilant Host Co (Port Vue), 184-Lincoln, 162-Reliance Hose Co (Glassport #2), 147-Central, and 161-Citizen's Hose Co (Glassport #1). Stations 145-Buena Vista and 299-White Oak were on standby for a short period of time until the incident was under control.
