03/18/2005 - Lincoln - Van Into a Creek

Coursin Hollow Road

Crews were called at approximately 4:45 pm to Coursin Hollow Road for a van into a creek with no injuries. Crews arrived to find a van parked in a very shallow creek with the driver and passenger still in the van due to its location. The crew from Lincoln Engine 184 helped the occupants out of the van and personnel from Ambulance 610 checked them over for injuries and took 2 refusals. Per the driver, he was looking for deer on the hill and drove off the road. Liberty Rescue 183 and 184 personnel assisted the towing company with removing the van from the creek. Units on scene include Engine and Tanker 184, Ambulance 610, Rescue 183, Elizabeth Twp EMS, and Car 145. Clairton Rescue 123 was also dispatched, placed on standby and then released. Tanker 184 responded directly to a multi-structure fire in the city of Duquesne.
