:: Truck 287

United's Truck 287 is a 1991 KME/Simon Duplex 1500 GPM with a 55 foot ladder and 500 gallon tank. This unit was purchased with funds awarded to United Fire/Rescue in the 2003 FEMA assistance to firefighters grant program and was formerly in service with the Virginia Beach, VA FD. It carries a full compliment of forcible entry and hand tools as well as supply hose and fire attack lines. This unit's short wheel base and tight turning radius allow it to be positioned where many larger ladder trucks cannot.
